Ansdell target Tyrone Melling has turned down the chance to sign for the club.
Lots of speculation had surrounded a bid for Melling, after the club made initial enquiries with the playes agent.

Ansdell striker Andrew Rushworth today put pen to paper on a new one year contract, keeping him at the Club until at least the end of the 2005-06 season. The former Council worker and Hardware shop assistant becomes the third Ansdell star to pledge their future to the Club, after Dom Martin and Keith Hulme also penned new deals.

Keith Hulme has followed in the footsteps of fellow midfielder Dominic Martin by signing an extended deal with Ansdell FC. And Hulme, 27, has done likewise by extending his stay after an impressive first campaign at the High School.

Thursday 2nd June was the first pre-season friendly for the mighty Ansdell FC, and it didn’t go according to plan!! The game started brightly with a first time cross field ball from Danny Garth landing at the feet of winger Ben Wiseman, who in turn played a cross field ball that sliced into the back of the opponents net. 1-0 Ansdell after no more than two minutes. Ansdell really couldn’t get much more out of the game after that, being it was a pre-season friendly and a chance for the coaching staff to express them selves “artistically” using excess of 10 substitutions .

Saturday 28th of May was a big night in the short history of Ansdell FC. It was the night the stars came out to play for the first presentation night after a gruelling season in the Blackpool and Fylde Sunday League.
