Daz Meehan has taken over as manager due to the early retirement of Ant Jones.
Ant Jones steped down as manager after 5 seasons as shot stopper and 1 and a half years service as manager. Saying "I've taken this club as far as I can with the limited transfer budget so I have decided to step down and concentrate on my career in fishing".
Everyone at Ansdell FC wish Ant all the best for the future and thank him for all the years of loyal service and hope his fishing career is as succesfull as his football career.
Ansdell FC also wish to anounce the man who has offerd to take control of the roller coaster ride club, as Daz Meehan who has been up and down the leagues with various clubs wining various cup's and league trophy's so he tells us! Daz also brings in Steve Downing as his assistant. Steve is former manager of Excelsior fc before being amalgamated with Ansdell fc and brings a wealth of expierence with him.
The Chairman added "We are sad to see Ant leave but I am excited by the prospect of such a big name coming in as manager and driving the club forward with a strict fitness regime that would make the SAS weep".
