Ansdell faces lowly Lane Ends at the Ansdell arena. The sides played each other recently with Ansdell running out 8-1 winners despite going behind in the early stages.
Ansdell lined up with Jones,Worral,Davies,Wilkes,Hulme,Smudge,Wilkinson,Oldham,Blincow,Casson & Grath.

Subs; Docherty,JT,Bryne,Howarth, Masterson

Ansdell started the game as they had finished last weeks cup win against King Edward, in the attacking way! Which was good to see from a team who of late have been slow of the mark.

After 20 mins Ansdell pressure told, a fine passing move found Blincow who finnished well 1-0

Ansdell were awarded a free kick 25 yards out, Garth placed it and curled it into the far left corner of the goal 2-0.

It was all Ansdell, who then went further ahead when Blincow latched onto Casssons pass to shin in 3-0.

Just before half time Ansdell made it 4-0, Garth again hitting it for his second of the game.

Ansdell continued to press and also defend well and Lane ends attacks, Jones being untroubled in the Ansdell goal.

After 60 minutes Casson broke into the box to finish past the diving keeper 5-0

Garth then completed his hatrick on 70 mins with a diving header in the area, for his 4th pen in 2 games.

Blincow inbetween had 2 chances to score his hatrick, only to be denied by two good saves by the keeper.

On 80 mins Garth again shot from outside the box past the keepers despairing dive.

Davies then had a header cleared off the line from a corner and Smudge hit the bar.

All that was left was for substitute Howarth to score the final goal on 87 mins, a low drive past the keeper that beat the man on the line.

Summary
A good all round team performance, and with Ansdell now playing catch up on the top 2 having lost 6 points and 20 goals due to Gennars demise this was a well needed result.
